My small and pathetic NSVs!

Alright this used to be called "My small and pathetic NSVs!" but they told me off and said it wasn't small and pathetic... I did try to revise the thread name but it won't let me :scared:

So I have two NSV's which gave me a bit of a smile today.

Here they are in all their glory....

1. I am wearing my old workout shirt today. This shirt once was "toit loik a toiger" (tight). It is now looking like a comical dress that comes halfway down my thighs.

2. I just got back from the grocery store. Normally after hauling the cases of Water and all the groceries, plus walking around the store, my heart is beating like a snare drum from a thrash metal band. Today after checking my pulse... it wasn't even off of resting (thanks dreadmill).

Okay, thats my teeny little flag waving for the day. Feel free to share yours :P

WOWOWOWOWOW! Those aren't small NSV's at ALL!! Those are HUGE!!!! I remember the first time I noticed that I was walking around a store and wasn't overheated and sweaty. THIS WAS A HUGE HAPPY DAY FOR ME and it should be for you too!

THANK YOU TREADMILL!!!!!!

(and this is a good reminder for me to get BACK on my treadmill!!!)

Whooooop, NSVs!!!!!

That's great. I would love to feel like that after shopping, or doing much of anything. They may seem small, but those two things mean so much. I can't wait to be able to say them.

Well done dawg! I agree, those aren't small, they are GREAT!!!

I bought 2 Size Large sweaters in the regular dept, not the Plus sizes! And I keep getting compliments! They actually fit, rather than swallowing me whole like my old 3X sweaters made to hide beneath. Yay!

There is no such thing as a pathetic NSV. No such critter.

Now kindly repost your NSV with PRIDE because you deserve to be proud of the hard work you have done.

 That is awesome!

No NSV is small!

Okay, okay! No NSV is small. I changed the thread name :P

Thanks for the cheers, they made both my eyes crinkle at the corners :scared:

If people keep up being so nice... I might even be able to get these craggy features into a semblance of a smile... but I'm not promising :(

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
