mbmama 15 Posted March 30, 2012 Hey all! Guess I should introduce myself as I am beginning this journey. I had my first consult today with the surgeon. He said if everything goes as planned I should be able to have the surgery within two months, which I am very excited about! I have all of my prereq. appointments scheduled and will be completed by April 24th. I am using the Bluepoint Group in Virginia. I have been very encouraged by the boards here and they have been so helpful already. It's nice to be able to go on here with a question and get an answer immediately. colleenjoy 104 Posted March 30, 2012 Welcome, I'm new as well. Should be banded in May. I've found so much useful information on the board already.
Daddyof4 95 Posted April 2, 2012 Hey Mbmama, I'm starting out as well, also with Bluepoint. I am in month 2 of the 3 required by Blue Cross Federal. I'm trying the new behaviors a little with not much success. I understand that it will be easier after surgery if I already don't drink with meals and take tiny bites and chew well but I don't really want to do that stuff until I have to. My other big thing is Cereal before bed - I guess I'll have to give that up. But, before you start wondering why I'm doing this at all, know that, like everyone else on this site, I've tried dieting for years and can take it off but it comes back with a vengeance. I'm starting to go diabetic and have no energy and can't even put on my socks without getting out of breath! Now's the time to take back my life. I'm stoked! Good luck to you; I'll probably see you at Fair Oaks.
