lalaj 108 Posted March 30, 2012 What is haitus hernia and how do you get it? I've noticed on my paperwork it says that but only on my X-ray form for the barium swallow. Thanks. Sorry if this seems like a stupid question
Holly Dolly 575 Posted March 30, 2012 A hiatal hernia is when the stomach protrudes through the diaphragm up into your espohagus. I had one and didn't have any symptoms like acid reflux. The dr repaired that before he placed the lap band on me. 2 bandbun and Moonlitedi reacted to this

KAllison =) 20 Posted April 2, 2012 I just had that fixed when I had my lapband done Wednesday.. I didnt have any symptoms or anything either.. they found it when they did my EGD. Be prepared your chest hurts afterwards.. almost like its hard to breath. but you'll def notice a difference afterwards. Good-Luck!! =) =)
