Corgi 0 Posted February 25, 2006 I'm coming up on my 1 year bandanniversary and this morning when I awoke I went to feel my port and it's not in the same place. I had a small fill about 1 week ago and since then it moved up about 1 inch. I'm down almost 50lbs and I can feel it more now then before I lost the weight. I hope I'm not going crazy...has this happen to others?
PhotoNut 7 Posted February 25, 2006 I had my first fill last week, and a day later the port felt very different to me. It was as if there was no fat between my skin and the port, and I could feel every detail of the port. Typically, I can just feel a lump there. Very weird. It's back to "normal" now, but when I saw your post it struck me that this might be some sort of thing that happens when we get fills. Anyone else?? I have heard of ports flipping (stitches tear loose and the port sticks up). Not sure if there is any pain associated with this or not. Are you in any pain? If so, call your doctor. By the way.. happy almost baniversary, and w00t! coming up on 50 pounds lost is wonderful! Yay for you!
Corgi 0 Posted February 25, 2006 Hi Photonut, No pain, just moved up, really weird. Since I've lost the weight (and I have a lot more to go), the port is so defined on my right side, like just skin and port, not so much fat surrounding it, and I'm not going crazy it moved up about 1 inch closer to my waist line... La_madam 20 Posted February 26, 2006 Things shift when we lose weight..if you port was accessible last week by the Dr. then I would not worry about it..
