B-52 7,113 Posted March 26, 2012 Mine is right below the 1/4" layer of skin. It sticks out like a big lump! Like there is a golf ball there. I can rub my finger around it and feel every nook and cranny, including the tube. But that's what happens when all the fat on your belly disappears, and your stomach gets rock hard. kll724 3,055 Posted March 26, 2012 Yes, I can feel my port. Last summer when I got into the swimming pool, mine would stick out like a hernia. I guess it doesn't like to be cold! I actually like to feel it; it is a reminder of my goal. Good luck with your weight loss. By he way, there are very few things that I can see the port through clothing! honk 780 Posted March 26, 2012 I can feel mind more after 65 pounds lost but it does by no means stick out. If I ever loose this over 70 pounds it might. I think it was pretty deep when installed so maybe not. And by feeling I mean I feel for it with my hand. I don't feel it constantly like some kind of foreign body like a splinter. It doesn't bother me and the seat belt isn't a problem. Kind of like feeling your ribs under your skin.
atlambros83 1 Posted March 27, 2012 I could always feel mine once I went in for my first fill and knew where it was but now after losing all of the weight (150lbs), you can see the bump all the time. It gets a little annoying explaining it to people but hey I'll take that over the alternative!
transforming jlaroux 78 Posted March 27, 2012 yeah, I can feel mine. I just discovered it about 3 weeks ago. I couldn't feel it before I lost all the weight. Thank God my doc could find it though! lol
