Good morning everyone. Well I am on Day 5 of the PreOp Diet and I must say things are MUCH better. The first three days were really hard and I had the worst headache. At one point, I was even thinking about cancelling the whole thing and just give up; however something inside of me made me go on. So I have been drinking the Unjury and Celebrate Protein Shakes which are extremely good. Has anyone tried to put fresh fruit in the chocolate or the vanilla? I want to know what other varities are you all using. In addition, I have a huge container of whey Protein powder that I use as a dipping sauce for my sugar free popsicles...yes I am getting creative.

I had gotten the Unjury chicken Soup flavor Protein Powder, and blended it with veggies

Frozen fruit blends well and gives it a thicker frothier texture.

i wasn't allowed no fruits in the shakes or veggies in my broth and i still have to follow the same diet for 2 more weeks now after surgery ....the only thing i was allowed was eggdrop Soup ....

I'll have to ask my dr about egg drop soup. I am also not allowed fruits. And only 1/2 cup of veggies a day on pre-op.

I love the Unjury vanilla with Trop 50 orange juice and ice, tastes like an orange juilus. I bet mixing in frozen strawberries instead of the ice would be good too, I"ll have to try that :)

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

        Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
