3loves 0 Posted February 24, 2006 We are getting tickets to the Brickyard 400 on Aug 6 and realizing I will be banded by then, I got a little scared that I won't be able to drink enough Water while out in the hot sun. :couch2: For those of you that have experienced this, how do you get enough water on a hot summer day? Is there a chance I'll get dehydrated?
La_madam 20 Posted February 24, 2006 Just carry a water bottle with you at all times..I have Water with me 24/7/365...everywhere I go, my 24oz water bottle goes with me...you'll be fine..it is very rare to become dehydrated unless of course you are filled way too tight and you can even get water down or swallow your own saliva
Jachut 487 Posted February 24, 2006 I can drink as much as I could before banding.

Iluvharleys 15 Posted February 25, 2006 I actually drink more Water in the summer than in the winter. I carry some water with me all the time, if nothing else just keep sipping on it.
MyKdsDad 1 Posted February 25, 2006 Nykee, just imagine sitting there, watching it rain...it's cold...and you have to look past your Harley to see it all....*sigh* Winter really sucks!
3loves 0 Posted February 26, 2006 Hi Nykee ~ I drink tons of Water in the summer too and I'm with you on the concerns. At least I'm glad to hear the words of wisdom from others that it shouldn't be a problem. There are times I can chug an entire 16 oz bottle of Water. :rolleyes I will just take it as it comes and drink, drink, drink. I'm getting spring fever as well. I live in IN and it has rained most of the winter and now it decides to get cold. I'm ready for the warm weather so my boys can go outside. I've read you have kids, so I know you can relate. :phanvan Take care and think "warm thoughts".
I'llsucceed 1 Posted February 26, 2006 I can still chug-a-lug Water anytime. Its no problem for me & I have relatively good restriction.
StormGirl 0 Posted March 3, 2006 Just a suggestion... Maybe, like an athlete, you should be sure to hydrate for a day or two before as well as carry Water or gatorade with you?
