suemile 3 Posted March 19, 2012 Hi all, I've read a few comments banders have made about being in the "Green Zone", but I'm not sure what that exactly means. It sounds like something I need to find! I'm relatively new (been banded for just 4 months). I'm making good progress, but I feel hungry a lot. I'm still trying to figure out if it's real hunger or "head" hunger. xavier 153 Posted March 19, 2012 For me green zone is as simple as very full an any food of about 1/2 to 3/4 cup. A couple more bites and I am too full.In the green zone I lost 5-6 pounds a month consistently and I never exercised or ate any diet foods or dieted or counted calories. Here's my little trick for head hunger. Ok, so you are hungry and someone offers you an apple or to have all your bills paid. (the apple has to be a food that is ok but not a favorite) If you refuse the money for the apple you are actually physically hungry and the body will not deny true hunger in exchange for money...if you would rather have the money, you are having head hunger meaning you want food but you are not physically hungry. Now once you know its head hunger saying no to it is a lifelong struggle! 2 jennifer1 and myjourneyagain reacted to this

katwomantexas 2 Posted March 19, 2012 I am satisfied with around a 1 and 1/2 cups to 2 cups of food. I also will forget to eat and have to remind myself when I have been busy with work or other things. When I get bored is when I want to snack. I really dont measure or log food anymore.
