morelgirl 177 Posted March 18, 2012 Stace, I think everyone is different as far as the rate of weight loss. I was banded 6.5 weeks ago and have lost 18.8 lbs since beginning my pre-op diet, so it's been fairly slow for me. BUT, I weigh myself daily (record my weight 1/week) and this week it looks like I might have a bigger loss than I have been. Not sure what's different, since I haven't changed anything, but it just goes to show that weight loss is a mysterious and unexplainable process. For most people the rate of loss will fluctuate, so it may slow down for you for a while, then speed up, then slow down again. The important thing is to remember that as long as the weight keeps coming off, you're doing great. Good luck!
marfar7 1,533 Posted March 18, 2012 Christmas of 2010 - picture this: I'm out of state at my new boyfriends (now my new husband) families house for Christmas. I'm wearing a really cute black skirt that I had to roll the waist on cuz it was too big. I'm standing in the middle of the room with about 6 other people and my legs felt a little cold. My skirt was on the floor! My boyfriend noticed and helped me pull it up - thank God everyone else was in deep conversation and no one else saw it (at least we don't think so!). I had to belt my skirt that day and the minute we got home it went in the goodwill pile. Congrats! You're doing so well! Lannae 46 Posted March 18, 2012 Good for you!! I was wondering the same thing..I lost 10pds pre op and then so far 13 pds post op..and it has only been a week since surgery..I will take it too!! I expect that once I start solids the weight loss will slow down...I hope not, but...I was not expecting to lose it all so quickly anyways.. Congrats!!!
