Recommended Posts

I see lots of folks talking about how much Protein is in Chobani Greek yogurt....the most I see is 16 g. Which types have 23 g of Epstein? Thanks!

Chobani is about 14 Grams of Protein alone. For Breakfast I add half a scoop whey isolate vanilla Protein Powder which bumps it up by 10 (about 50 cal). I also add 1/4 cup Kashi Go Lean High protein Cereal which adds another 2-3 g. Adding the protein powder also mades the yogurt even thicker. By the time I've added the cereal it's a quasi solid. I do add splendra as 0% Greek yogurt is sour.

Fage greek yogurt has 23 Protein per serving. I bought some for the first time today and just ate some. It was awful!!! I did have some Kashi Go Lean granola clusters to add to it, but it was still bad. I plan on eating every bit of that yogurt, I just need to find ways to make it taste better.

Plain yogurt is yucky! I sometimes mix in a tablespoon of preserves. I also mix dry onion dip in and eat it with veggies or a potato.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
