JJLaw08 4 Posted March 15, 2012 The sheet the doctor gave me suggested things such as real soft eggs, thinned oatmeal. I know that I've been wanting some food with substance so those things are going to be so good.
JJLaw08 4 Posted March 15, 2012 Also, mashed potatoes and cream Soups if you couldn't have those on the liquid portion. I know a lot of people don't want to eat a lot of mash potatoes but that is what I lived on for about a week the first go around at this surgery.

NWgirl 574 Posted March 15, 2012 I bought a recipe book recommended by my dietician called: Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery: Over 140 Delicious Low-Fat High-Protein recipes to Enjoy in the Weeks, Months and Years After Surgery I really like that it has the recipes with calorie breakdown and also tells you (depending on surgery type) what to do to the food (ex. puree) to make it compatible with specific stages. 1 judych reacted to this

Thank you, I'm definitely going to check that out. I know I'm probably paranoid, but I want to make sure I eat the right foods for the band. Also I want to do this right and lose the weight! JJLaw08 4 Posted March 15, 2012 I don't believe noodles was on my list, but pudding was. I actually have been eating pudding already. I am a week out from my second surgery so hopefully I didn't hurt anything by eating that.

cfalbro 23 Posted March 17, 2012 I've read that anything that your family is eating is fine- just throw it in the blender. The consistency should be so that you can put it on a spoon, put it in your mouth and swallow.
