Breakfast: 1 cup special K high Protein Cereal with 1/2 cup skim milk

Lunch: 5 Oz chicken salad made with miracle whip and ricotta cheese

1 wasa cracker

I don't know what the dr. told you but since I haven't had a fill yet, I was told 1/4 cup to 1 cup per meal.. Meals are 3 times a day, with two Protein shakes.

I've been having 1/2 cup per meal, Breakfast is just a scrambled egg..

I try and having something every two hours, so I start the day with Decaf tea, then at 10 I have Breakfast, 12 Protein shake, then 2 lunch, 4 Protein Shake and 6 dinner.. All the rest of the times I drink keeping in mind the 30/30 rule.. It's worked for me.. I always try and do 1/4 cup Protein with 1/4 cup veggies per meal except breakfast..

Congrats on your success Hedder! That's awesome. I have not yet started to exercise.... I'm sure once I get started and get my 1st fill the pounds should begin to disappear quicker!!

Thats a good weight loss...more than that is just not realistic! This is for the rest of your life! Not a race...

I know Xavier.. It's just that I'm reading 20, 25, 30 pounds lost in the 1st month of many other bandsters.....

I started with a low BMI of 31, so i didn't have to do a preop diet.

My doctor said to weigh solid Protein to 3 oz. For lunch I would go to 3 oz and make up the rest of your lunch with low fat veggies.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
