kr8160311 36 Posted March 12, 2012 tomorrow I will be one week post-op I can't believe how fast it went and to be honest I'm loving my band already. I feel a lot of resection with no fill ( each day I can add a bit more), I know its mostly due to swelling but I will take it! I can move on to creams, SF pudding, tofu , etc... What are you guys eating anything fun, ?? I can't wait to get some sweet and sour Soup and eat the tofu!
Ajai 0 Posted March 12, 2012 Congratulations! I'll be 2wks out Wed. My Dr has me on liquids for 2wks and then mushies for 2wks. I do take a spoonful of applesauce with my Vitamins bc they're too big to swallow. (Even though he said not to.) I'm don't suggest going against Dr's orders. When you start the mushies, try soupy mashed potatoes mixed with chicken broth, sugar free pudding, Greek yogurt, etc. My friend was banded 6yrs ago and she suggested blending food in the blender. No meats, no corn, and no Pasta. Good luck on your weight loss journey!!! Sent from my mobile device using LapBandTalk
honk 780 Posted March 12, 2012 On day 8 I was only allowed to move to full liquids. Sounds like you can move to mushies. My first week of mushies was yogurt, low/fat free cottage cheese, smooth spagetti sauce (no meat or veggies).

honk 780 Posted March 13, 2012 I liked Pacific Brand sweet red pepper/tomato Soup to which I would add Mrs Dash non salt chicken flavoring (before heating so the herb bits would reconsitute). I would use a stick blender to mix up fruited Greek yogurt (I added splendra because Greek yogurt is sour); add fat free milk if it is too thick. If you are going to eat ready made suger free pudding cups but name brand versions they are so much better.
mandagay 93 Posted March 13, 2012 Best advice I can give to the hungry is to drink drink drink drink. It really helps satisfy the hunger! When I first had my surgery, it was impossible to get all that Water down but now I have it down my early evening and just snag a couple of bites from my hubby's plate at dinner as I am full from all the water!
