NJChick 3 Posted February 24, 2006 Did you ever try pineapple Salsa.... oh listen, don't say ick until you've tried it. There's one brand in our grocery store that makes pineapple salsa and fruit salsa that is out of this world. I haven't seen it in a while but I'll try to get the name. paula 4 Posted February 24, 2006 I just made a batch using canned chopped tomato's - yuck! I HAVE to get some fresh ones. Basics: I used lime pepper (didnt have any real ones) and the lime pepper is from when I make my tilapia fish. I also used red onion, jalapeno, onion powder & black pepper, oh - and cilantro. The cilantro is sweet, right? What kind of onion do you use? ((different onions give different flavors, thats why I ask))

ReneBean 3 Posted February 24, 2006 Just a note on cilantro - sometimes it tastes a little bit soapy. If you get a good batch, it is GREAT - but once in a while, if your salsa tastes like soap - throw out the cilantro! You might try chewing on a leaf before you mix, just to be sure your cilantro is good. :]
