Amyc220 0 Posted March 10, 2012 So I'm a month and 10 days post-op, stitches-less, ready and rarin' to go! I just started working out on Monday, 20 mins cardio, planks, push ups. light machines, some core work and 10 more minutes of cool down cardio. ive done that 3 days this week, and got in a 5 mile walk as well, i guess my question /concern is if anyone else started working out and can tell me how it effected their weight loss, and do i have to steer clear of directly workin out my abs because of the band?...im 26 lbs and 24 inches down, 1 month and 10 days post-op, should i be doing anything else to promote dropping more pound-age? lol thanks!!!!! elcee 3,341 Posted March 10, 2012 You should check with your Dr what exercises are Ok at this stage of your recovery. I can't remember how long they recommend to be careful with abdo exercises. Walking etc should be fine.

Banded*Beauty 0 Posted March 10, 2012 My doctor told me no abs for two months after surgery. Light cardio is ok one month after. I know each doctor has their own requirements. To play it safe call your doctor. I don't want you to hurt yourself or hinder your recovery!
