newbander 0 Posted February 22, 2006 I keep seeing clear broths listed. I'm planning on adding some fats and aminos to my post op Soups to keep the metabolism high stave off pre-fill hunger pangs and prevent muscle mass loss. Anybody's doc forbid fats in the Soup? Jachut 487 Posted February 22, 2006 I was only on Clear Liquids for 2 days. After that within a couple of days I'd made real Soups with Pasta and lentils and things like that in them, just blended up.
NJChick 3 Posted February 22, 2006 My mom made me some really awesome chicken Soup. I would have climbed the walls with out it b/c the canned stuff just doesn't taste good to me (of course I only used the broth, DH ate the chicken and veggies). I would say as long as its clear you should be okay but double check with your doctor because each one is different when it comes to what we should and should not eat. GOOD LUCK !! asbrown 0 Posted February 23, 2006 I have been banded for 5 days and feel good thus far. I've been taking regular Soup, such as chicken noodle, vegetable beef, and draining them, taking out the noodles, meat, etc. I personally think these taste better than just plain broth.< /p> I also drink Isopure which isn't bad at all and fills my belly quickly. skbishop78 0 Posted February 23, 2006 I ate the broth of Campbell's Wong-ton Soup. I took out the noodles and ate the broth. It was really tasty!!
