Grider 92 Posted March 9, 2012 It is safe to assume that if you have only had a fill or two, that you have less complications of slippage etc? I have only had one fill, and at first all was well- or say normal, month later- now I fill restriction much more than I used to, and actually had the famous burp- and the tight mornings and bread rejectiion, lump feeling in throat if eating too much, etc...,, I am wondering if I should even have a 2nd fill. I am working hard at the gym and trying to eat right food and amounts and loosing very very slowly. I am coming up on a D r appt and wondering what to do about fill # 2. Cazzy 725 Posted March 9, 2012 You could try a very small fill like .5 cc i even had one of .25 cc and did it make a difference yes it did .. the Doctor will advise u right tho.. are u getting hungry between meals a lot, do u get stuck .. I would assume they wont be interested in u not eating bread lol
1shauna1 129 Posted March 9, 2012 If you feel you are getting the proper signals from your band, maybe you don't need one! You don't HAVE to have a fill every 4 weeks (some people do need that, but others don't). If the visit isn't costing you anything, then why not go, consult with your doc and see what he says? If you feel you don't need it, wait another 4 weeks and see where you're at. As long as your weight is going down, all is good!
xavier 153 Posted March 9, 2012 First, I would advise you lay it all out for your doc and see what he or she says. I think a slip is from a lot of vomiting and yes, that might e from being too tight but probably mostly from just not eating and chewing carefully. My doc sews all this bands in place and has never had a slip.
Grider 92 Posted March 10, 2012 I am just thinking long term here. I do not like the fact I am loosing so slow,,, maybe eating too much?? maybe 2nd fill won't make a difference? maybe it will change things dramatically?? now that I am exercising much- hungrier than before,, but yes Dr. visit the 19th,,, be 8 weeks since 1st fill,,, so I'll see what he says.
