EmileeKaye 1 Posted February 22, 2006 I have been maintaining my weight for a few months now, I believe I've been able to maintain my because my calorie intake is about the same level as what I'm burning in the day. If I were to cut my calories, I could lose some more weight or if I raised my workout intensity I could start losing again. Basically I'm eating enough at this point to maintain, not gain or lose. josygirl 0 Posted February 24, 2006 i've had all my fill taken out due to a slip. Believe you me, you can't maintain without fill. I was down to about a 23 BMI, but am now back to about 27. Not happy! I'm hoping that when i get my fill back that I can get back to 25 BMI (the 23 might have been due to the restriction from the slip) and then maintain. This is the scary part. I feel so out of control with the regain.
Alexandra 55 Posted February 24, 2006 I've been at the same weight for about 9 months now, and while some might consider that a stall or plateau, I consider it happily maintaining. I've lost 120 lbs and it's staying off!! If/when I decide to try to lose more weight, it will mean cutting calories and upping exercise. But for now I'm at a very good place and am thrilled that I don't have to try very hard to stay this way.
leatha_g 4 Posted February 25, 2006 Same here. The band is not really that restrictive that you'll lose weight uncontrollably. The weight loss is pretty slow and healthy. You're in charge of the calories you take in and the exercise you get, but luckily, if you see that you've lost all you want to lose, yet you still have enough restriction to be losing more, you can just have your fill adjusted to allow for more intake. I've yet to hear of anyone at goal to complain that they can't stop losing. :scared:
