KimberlyCoyle 2 Posted April 26, 2012 I'm pretty sure you can mix other vegetables and fruits with it. The cabbage will be the base of the drink. As far as how much and how many times a day he should drink it, I'd probably start with 2-3 glasses a day using whatever sized glasses he may be comfortable with using. I read that some cancer patients are only on juicing, and take Vitamin supplements to make sure that they are getting all the Vitamins and nutrients they need. So 2-3 glasses a day should be okay to start with him(:

m.boyer 8 Posted April 26, 2012 I got a fantastic Breville juicer at a Garage Sale. I have yet to use it since surgery mostly because I was recovering last week. I am going to try and use mostly veggies that way it doesn't spike my blood sugar. Hoping to try out some new recipes this week. So far my favorite has just been the basic celery, carrot, apple. adorkbl 156 Posted May 21, 2012 I just got the Jack LaLanne juicer at costco for $89. I was so siked to try juicing after watching Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead... but now I am freaking. Haha. Seems so intimidating! Going to try a cleanse pre-surgery (hiatal hernia/repositioning on May 30th). Thanks for the ideas on blends!
