Mamaguise 1 Posted March 1, 2012 I just had my lap and surgery on 2/27 and I am feeling pretty good with the exception of the abdominal distension. I am hoping that goes away soon. I am excited to see how my journey turns out. I am glad to have people to connect with.

KristyT 16 Posted March 2, 2012 the abdominal distension will go away, may take a week or 2 but it will subside, my hardest problem was the dam gas.. LOL didnt think that was ever going to leave my body. it was so bad I told my hubby day 3 after surgery to take me to the ER so they can get this stupid band outta me. LOL I hope you learn to love the band and enjoy your new life. congrats
Mamaguise 1 Posted March 2, 2012 Thanks everyone! I never expected to get so many supportive replies. I am down 9 pounds (not bad for 4 days!). I woke up this morning excited that my abdomen was down and squishy again, but when I was up and moving out it popped hard as a rock. Walking will be a priority today! Good luck to the future banders. I was terrified the day of my surgery, but I can already tell this will be an amazing journey. And for everyone who says this is the easy way out, you never had abdominal surgery!
TamaraKaye 6 Posted March 2, 2012 Hello. I am new here. I just had my surgery on feb 21st. I am feeling great. I wasn't doing too well with the 2 week liquid diet. My doctor gave the ok to start soft foods, so I did about 4 days ago. In the last 3 days, I haven't lost any weight, and I am getting discouraged! Any similar stories?
