rhya2k 31 Posted February 29, 2012 I got a 1/2 cc fill on Monday the 27th, I believe total that is 1 1/2 . Well my surgeon told me that I could go back to solids the next day. Absurd!!! As she will filling me I told her how slow the Water was going down but that's what she wanted for me. I have had very slow results due to not exercising, my fault I admit. It's hard with kids and work and kids being in 5 different activities. Anyways I have not attempted solids and I won't cuz I am stil having a hard time tolerating fluids, Soup and Protein Shakes. Do you get swollen after a fill usually?

Holly Dolly 575 Posted February 29, 2012 yes, I had a .4 fill 3 weeks ago and it was too much. I got swollen and couldn't even tolerate Soup. I had all of the .4 removed and yesterdya went back and she gave me .25. This time I am doing liquids for 2 days and then soft foods. I am on day 2 of the 5 day pouch test. Thought with getting the fill it would be a good time to do it.
chrissylu 153 Posted February 29, 2012 normal to have some swelling. Most doctors require a day or two of liquids and thne back to soft/mushies for a day or two, after a fill. I'm surprised the doc said solids were okay. hey Holly Dolly....tell me about the 5day pouch test. I've missed this somewhere in my reading/discussions. Thanks.
