I just have to say' date=' I havent bought any new clothes since I started this journey. However, all my pants are getting VERY big on me (They are all 20-22's). So, I decided to clean out my closed/drawers and have 3 HUGE bags of pants that are all too big. This is great, except I needed some new pants. So, I went to Old Navy last night and grabbed a pair of 18's, tried them on and even those were too big. So, I tought, there is NO WAY that I can be down to a 16......but I tried some on anyway and they fit! not only did they fit, they looked great! I am so happy.....I can fit into a 16 again. I havent seen a 16 in over 8 years!!!!![/quote']

Go girl!!! :) I cant wait until I am there.

I am barely 5'3", starting weight 285lbs wearing size 26/28, still barely 5'3" (clearly wish I was taller lol), weigh 198.5lbs and fairly consistently am a size XL or 16. I shop fairly consistently at Kohl's, Dress Barn, Walmart or Kmart. Some stores can really vary in their sizing too!

I am 5'4" and could not fit into a 24 size jeans before surgery. I have no idea what size a wore and still don't. I wore leggings nearly everyday to work and sweats the second I got home. I can fit into my fifteens now. I weighed 235 pre op and my stomach was huge! People assumed I was pregnant all the time, man that hurt so bad every time. I am so grateful for my lapband I am down to 206 so far, was banded April 28 th

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
