Cocoabean 430 Posted February 26, 2012 I was always cold until my thyroid whacked out. Then I was hot, then I got it treated, and FINALLY I was comfortable. Then I was banded, and lost the blubber. Now I am back to freezing!!! That article was interesting. My weight has been stable for two years now, and I still freeze, but I am not the best at exercising. I have found Smartwool leggings to be fantastic under my pants. The midweight is just perfect! Except if it is 85 degrees outside. But at my desk? Oh yeah! I also have leg warmers that come up to my thighs that I'll pull on if the leggings aren't enough or if they are in the laundry. But I plan on getting more Smartwool. It isn't cheap, but oh, so worth it! They also have short and long sleeved shirts. Sheesh, I live in San Diego, not sure what I'd do if I lived where there is an actual winter! I live in Montana, I swear I am gonna freeze to death this winter and it has been very mild here this year. I keep the heater on 75 in the house and then I also keep a space heater on and a blanket......I really hope I regulate sometime soon lol

They have different weights, it is WONDERFUL! Expensive, but so worth it! For the first time in about 3 years, I have been warm. It's made from Merino Wool, so incredibly soft, not at all itchy against the skin. I bought the leggings from REI, you can get 10% rebate if you buy a membership. I got shirts on ebay. I sleep in them even.

The teen bandit 3 Posted February 27, 2012 I get cold easily now too, though I live in the northern territory Australia, so it's always hot here, though lately I don't seem to be so much bothered by the heat any more it gets up to 40d*C thats 104?? I think, some days its 42 which is 107.6. So it's good not carrying the extra layer!
ValAnn 31 Posted February 27, 2012 So glad to know I'm not the only one who is always freezing now! Hubby can't get over the difference as I was always kicking off covers in the middle of the night. Not any longer, head to bed now with layers that I never take off!
