SGP78 16 Posted February 26, 2012 Started my pre op diet on Sunday 2/19 and weighed myself the night before 2/18. The first couple of days were hard but I have made it so far. My Dr has me on a pretty good diet kinda like an Atkins diet. I just wanted to share that As if today I have lost 11lbs so far! My surgery is also in the next couple of weeks however I'm having trouble sticking to my pre op diet:( do you have any suggestions on how you are staying on track and how you are able to get in the Protein needed for your diet? Everytime you get tempted to eat something you shouldn't yet think of how wonderful you're going to feel and look in 3-6 months! Make up your mind you're going to defeat the control food has over you! You can do it, make sure you're getting enough Protein too. Bless you and your journey! SGP78 16 Posted February 26, 2012 To be honest if it had not been for my husband it would have been harder! I'm believer in a support team! From day one he has been on the same diet with me and that has made it a lot easy for me. The first couple of days were hard but now I have very little hunger pains. Oh another thing for me is sweets so now when I get a sweet tooth I pop a tic tac! Lol! I know that's cheating but it's really hard to quite cold turkey! I only had 1 day notice before I started my pre op diet! I did however quite my cokes back in April and this coming April will be a year for me! Good luck with your diet I know you can do it!
