superluli 17 Posted February 26, 2012 I have like no restriction yet but chicken bothers me. I won't even try steak. I ground the beef and chicken and mix them with the veggies I eat. But I have never cared about Protein so that is one of the easiest thing to adjust to.

darcalyna 0 Posted March 25, 2012 chicken has always been hard for me after about 6 months. My surgeon told me you should always be able to eat chicken' date=' but that has not been the case for me. Any meat that has been microwaved is not going down for me either. Cheri[/quote'] I have the same issue. chicken is fairly tough to eat unless I put it in the crockpot and even then I only do the dark meat. Also, beef is basically out of the question unless there is a lot of sausr and I can't microwave any kind of meat because of the dryness. I learned that lesson after PBing for about 3 hrs after eating microwaved chicken.

Protein first, vegetable, then if u still have room eat your carbs. Protein....3oz. Vegetable...1/2 cup Carb.....1/4 cup
Kygie 3 Posted March 26, 2012 chicken is ok for me if it is smothered in a sauce or gravy...I can't do steak of any description but I think I am at my sweet spot...We have alot of stews here that help...could also be the cous cous...I can't eat rice, not one little bit of it!! so we have rice noodles...it is funny what sticks and what doesn't and its so different for each of us!!! bluetigereyes 95 Posted March 26, 2012 I've tried chicken so many different ways and I always end up with the same result. I have decided at this point, its just not going to be a staple in my diet anymore. I have been eating more tuna and Fish, which work well for me. I tried a Bratwurst this weekend, was ok for the first 3 bites, after that, I started to get that feeling and stopped immediately. Certain foods are way too easy for me to eat, others its a bite or two and I'm done. I go in for my 3rd fill next week, I'm sure I'm pretty close to my green zone, but dont think I'm quite there yet...maybe another 1/2cc
cbreeden28 23 Posted March 26, 2012 I cannot eat couscous, rice, Pasta or raw broccoli......they all get stuck!!!. Just remember the order in which to eat ur food and the amount. Protein first, vegetable, then if u still have room eat your carbs. Protein....3oz. Vegetable...1/2 cup Carb.....1/4 cup My problem with this is that I have never been one to eat all of one food on my plate. I like variety and change it up (a bite of this, a bite of that). I can't just sit and eat all my Protein, then all my veggies, and then carbs. It's too boring. I mix it up and it works for me. As long as you get all your protein in by the end of the meal, that's all that matters. And I have been successful with this method.
Joleen 3 Posted March 29, 2012 I think after a year I am finally at my restriction!!! I got a fill last Monday and I have to be very very careful with chicken! I also cannot eat raw carrots or rice!!! I love sushi, but can only eat the rice if I chew chew chew it!!!! My hubby cooks chicken and he shreds it between two forks so I can eat it that way!!! I am finally realizing what it means to take your time with eating and how important it is to feel this restriction thing!!! I am so HAPPY, I FINALLY have the restriction, it has been a LONG year!!! 1 XOXOXO reacted to this
