Botox?

Recommended Posts

I have been a watcher for this new "miracle" treatment for fine lines and wrinkles. I was hoping that it was going to get a bit cheaper too. I want it, badly for eye lines when I smile.

Call me cautious but when silicone breasts first came out as the greatest latest thing, everyone ran to get them and they were poison. So now, I listen and wait, like a cat, waiting to pounce. So my question is... can I pounce yet?

Anyone do it and want to admit it? Are/Were you happy with it? About what did you pay for it? Any side effects?

I also want to have Botox injection. Even went as far as to make appointment, then called and cancelled. I would like to talk with anyone that has had Botox.

I have to admit I've thought about it. I'm 38 and dont have any crows feet or lines on my face other than two vertical frown lines between my eyebrows, which would be so easily fixed with Botox.

i had botox. the first time i did it i loved it. i felt like it really opened up my eyes. the second time i was not so happy with the results. i have crows feet and it did not get rid of any of those, and i feel like my eyes are not opened as much as the first time.

this could be the technician, not the treatment. i think i paid $450 a treatment. would have to double check.

as with the band, i would research research research and find the best doc in your area. pay a bit more it you have to make sure you are getting quality : )

I don't believe I would ever even try it. Or even consider trying it. For me it's a couple of things, I don't like the thought of injecting a deadly poison into my body for cosmetic reasons. I can't get past that. But for this life I picked really good genetics for skin anyway. I got carded this week at the grocery store.

But I look at my dear grandmother who will be 95 in a few months and my mother who is 72 and I marvle at their skin.

I am a snob I suppose. Oh, and I just turned 44 on Sunday

So did it hurt? Compared to the feeling of getting a fill maybe? How long does it last? $450 for just a few months seems pricey to me.

I am with you vines on the injecting poison into my body and that makes me nervous, but then again..... I plan to be like the bionic woman by the time I am done. :P Pamela Anderson moooooooooove over!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
