Alerker 10 Posted February 18, 2012 Hi my name is Ann, I weigh 270 lbs and my Lap Band Surgery date is March 20th. I am trying to prepare myself mentally for the changes I expect in my life style. I am having my surgery at Stamford Hospital by Dr. Davis. I would love to loss 100 lbs but just being under 200 lbs would make me so happy. I am a little nearvous about the liquid diet prior to surgery, but I am going into this with a positive mind. Anyone else planning on being banded in March. It would be nice to have a little group of people going through all the same stages at the same time for support
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted February 18, 2012 Welcome Ann! The liquid diet isn't fun, however, I think in the end it's worth it. Best wishes 1 Alerker reacted to this

debda 0 Posted February 19, 2012 I am on my 5th day of the shakes..Feeling real quizzy all the time and can not stand the thought of downing more shake. I am scheduled for surgery Feb 28,2012. I wonder why some people have to be on shakes for two weeks prior to surgery and some do not?? I feel like if I could have a little something to chew I would feel so much better. I want to do this but I am feeling like if I have to do this two weeks after surgery I might not can make it..Did anyone else have these feelings ? Getting real frustrated. Alerker 10 Posted February 19, 2012 The amount of time you have to be on the shakes is based on your BMI. Sorry you are feeling quizzy just keep thinking about what you will look like as you loss your weight. I am sure I will be feeling the same way.
Alerker 10 Posted April 29, 2012 One month since surgery, slow and steady, I have lost 11 lbs since 3/20 not bad. I had my first fill yesterday 4/28/12, 3cc's. Looking forward to the pounds coming off just a little more quickly 1-2 lbs a week would be great. Still trying to adjust my lifestyle to a healthier way of eating. I'm getting their though
