Morsaille 4 Posted February 20, 2006 Theres gotta be a reason why I haven't seen this posted. Probably me, just being freaky again.. OK, here goes: When I brush my teeth, I usually brush my tongue too. This makes me gag several times. TMI, right? Now to my weird question. Isn't this gagging like a reverse PB putting strain on my band site? Do you all gag, not gag, have tongue crust, or use a tongue scraper? :brushteeth: :spit: :brushteeth: :spit: :brushteeth: Thanks, Brenda
Jachut 487 Posted February 20, 2006 I wouldnt worry about it. I had to clean my tongue too, since it was coated with a very fetching khaki coloured slime in the weeks post surgery.
donali 57 Posted February 20, 2006 Anything that moves the stomach up and down vigorously (PBing, gagging, vomiting, deep breathing for singing, what have you) should be avoided until after you're all healed, IMHO. Have you tried the tongue scrapers? They are more likely to NOT make you gag. They're like a long flexible plastic popsicle stick that isn't quite so wide. Supposed to be very effective. I have less problems with that than I do with brushing my tongue... *gag* lol
lianna 3 Posted February 20, 2006 I always brush my tounge and it makes me gag about 60% of the time. I guess it is too late for me to worry about it now, lol, but obviously it didnt hurt anything. I have a nice healthy band and am way past the healing stage.
