ChosenKay 3 Posted February 18, 2012 Hello, congrats on being banded. I was banded on Feb. 9. 2012 and so far its been good. TammyFaye 2 Posted February 18, 2012 Congratulations on your decision to change your life. I have had my band over three years now and I would NOT change a thing. Do everything that your Doctor tells you to do and dont listen to the garbage out there. It is a life changing event and if you follow the advice of your Dr you will do just fine. I was an insulin dependent type II diabetic when I got my band I wore an insulin pump for over 10 yrs taking approx 100 units a day via pump.... I am well no longer requiring any medication at all. It is an awesome journey. If you look at it as a life change and have your mindset right you can do it!
