I'm tighter in the morning so eggs and stuff don't go down too well for me. I drink my premier nutrition shake (Costco) which has 30 grams of Protein. i like Breakfast foods so on the weekends, I have my shake when I get up and then have a little omelette or some other type of egg dish more towards lunch time. Chobani greek yogurt has 14grams of Protein so that's a good choice too.

I just saw an ad on this site for unjury protein that has no taste. It says you can mix it with anything. That might be an option for you.

I just purchased some Unjury products and tried them. I will be ordering more. unjury also makes a protein cheese sauce that you can pour over eggs or veggies. Very good. It's got 20 g protein per half cup.

At this point I'm still required to drink Protein Shakes. But I think reading labels can be very good because you can sometimes boost high Protein items by mixing them with other products. Like sprinkling Koshi on greek yogurt. Or adding some protein cheese to a meat. It just takes experimenting to find the balance.

I really enjoy the Unjury products. Even though they are more expensive than I can get at my local Target they are very good. Plus they have a bigger selection than my store.

I too love the Unjury. I don't want to drink my calories, but being tighter in the morning it's a great way to get breakfast in with a good amount of Protein. If you want to try the unjury, they have a sampler pack with 2 chocolate, 2 vanilla, 2 strawberry, 2 unflavored and 2 chicken broth- good to try before you buy, for sure!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
