ccsbulldog 59 Posted February 17, 2012 I know that your band can slip with vommitting, but what about coughing? I have a terrible cold and have been coughing very hard. My dr said my band is stitched on three sides but I feel something on my right side that I have not felt before. I've only been banded since 12/30/11. Could it have slipped? karewpah 173 Posted February 17, 2012 If your bad slipped you would nto even be able to keep down Water. I went through a band slippage to the point where I had to have revision sugery. I threw up dried blood and couldn't keep Water down. i got severely dehydrated. It was an excruiciating process. You could have tweaked a muscle if your coughing was that heavy.
