Silly Question???

Hi all,

I do a lot of reading on this site but rarely ask questions so here it goes. I have not seen this asked, and will check with my doctor, but thought I would ask you too.

Has anyone used one of those tummy belts? The ones with the electrodes that works your ab muscles? Do you know what I mean?? You just put on the belt and turn on the device and it makes your muscles contract every so many seconds. I was recently given one of those brand new and thought I would try it out while I was on the treadmill but wasn't sure how it would affect the port area. Has anyone tried this or know anything about it???

Just curious. I don't want to hurt my port in any way.

See if you can return it somewhere & get some money back Or sell it in a garage sale this spring. They are a gimmick & do absolutely nothing for you except deter your focus from a real workout.

Thanks for the advice! I just didn't want to do any physical damage to the port and have been doing ok on my own anyway.

ditto. bought one for pretty much money and it was kind of silly. gave it to my dad and he uses it for his back and likes it for that.

Yep, I had one too. What a crock. Didn't do nothing but make me really uncomfortable.
