<HR style="COLOR: #d1d1e1" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->I love the chat room...have spoken to dawg and a few others there. How come so few are using it? I read something the other day about maybe someone had 2 personalities or something...is that why??? Just wondering.

Yes it's there. On top in the blue line see it says lbt chat. It's cool. I know, no-one is ever in there...I go in and see people go in and out quick they never type anything...If you ever go in stay a few minutes because others check it out too and if you stay a few minutes maybe someone will talk. I will that's for sure.:clap2:

I've gone there several times and only once was someone else there to chat with. It's a shame it's not used more because truly it would be a great tool to help each other out. I even tried putting up a post stating I was in there just in case anyone wanted to chat. That was the one time when others came in. Maybe we'll have to do that again and see?

I think more people should check it out. It's easier then finding replies to your questions and comments. Plus you can talk to each other right away. Come on y'all chat, chat, chat. I keep myself signed in while I type other things so I can hear if anyone enters to chat with...try it please...it's cool to talk to everyone thru chat.

I was in the chat-room last night. There were two people on it, who both promptly disconnected upon my arrival.

Was it something I said? Do I emit strong net odors?:P

Hi Panioman...unfortunately its luck of the draw in there lately. I was lucky enough to get in there and there were like 12 people there but, only 4 of us talking. All of the sudden the other 8 blipped off the screen. I think people think they've logged out but in actuallity they are still there, then the system boots them. Keep trying, we'll all get the hang of this :P

Just went there and no one was there. :phanvan It was like that a few times I have gone. I guess most people just want to do the threads instead of getting into a conversation, maybe? I like doing chatrooms but this is also easy.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
