Pianoman 0 Posted February 20, 2006 You know, I've just had a thought... <O:p</O:pSometimes the lap band is like a smoker having his cigarettes dipped in vinegar. <O:p</O:pLet me explain. <O:p</O:pLast night, I decided to myself "Forget the diet, I'm gonna go and have a great big Chinese takeaway! “ (Sorry, "take-out", I forgot it’s predominantly an American website). So, I bought some fried noodles, some spring rolls, and some fried bean-sprouts. Yum, yum! <O:p</O:pAfter about four to five mouthfuls, it became a struggle, then three mouthfuls after that I was stuffed to the gills. Couldn't manage another bean-sprout. The desire was there, but I just couldn't physically accommodate. <O:p</O:pRather like a smoker who’s cigarettes have been dipped in vinegar. He may well have those tobacco cravings, but there's nothing he can do about it. <O:p</O:pDon't get me wrong, it's not a lapband criticism, maybe just an odd way of looking at things, I suppose.<O:p</O:p

mrycrltn 2 Posted February 20, 2006 yesterday I was the same way. I decided to just eat what I want. It was cold outside and I just sat in the recliner and watched movies all day. I have to say, I was like you. A few bites and I was stuffed. Then I waited about an hour and did it all over again. All day long this went on. I am proud of myself because I just couldn't eat that much. No matter how hard I tried. I am sick. No wonder I was fat to begin with. But, I have dropped a few sizes. I fit into a size 10 this weekend. Whoo Hooo
Desi80 1 Posted February 20, 2006 I think the head hunger is the worse part of the band. You WANT to eat, but you physically just cant. There are many times when i just have to get up and walk away from the food and occupy myself with other things.
