yvonne74 73 Posted March 12, 2012 I had been using GNC brand but ran out so I bought the Body Fortress. It is too sweet for me too so I would add 1 scoop or less to a cup of Water.< /p> Those already banded: What is your liquid diet consist of? I never thought I would be so thankful for chicken broth!. Anyone freezing? I am freezing where as before I was always hot.
judych 225 Posted March 12, 2012 Neekoal-- I too have the same thought. I'm scheduled for the 15th. I have to do 2 week liquid pre-op and there has not been one day that I have not put something else in my mouth whether it be a slice of cheese or a spoon of Peanut Butter. I do not like any of the Protein Shakes that I have tried. I have read that some people are not loosing weight so I'm concerned that I will be one of those people because I want it so badly. I just have to keep thinking positive . I also have a mother that thinks I will not be able to do this, so I'm determined to prove her wrong... you will do it Celeste... and not only prove to your mum that she is wrong, but you will find out how much strength you have as well.. just a thought for you. im in australia, my dr has not wanted me to go on any diet or change my eating habits at all prior to surgery.. and the day of the surgery i can have a light Breakfast, as im being done at 3pm. so.. it sounds to me that there are different protocols in place, and you wont jeopordise your surgery by doing what you have done. i think the main issue here is to have more confidence in yourself. from the material ive read, its not only changes in weight that go on but changes in the emotional baggage that we carry as well. All that will change for you as well. When the negative thoughts come, deal with them quickly. Dont let them get a hold. if you are going through a bad time, get online and read some of the success stories .. and there are way more success stories than there are failures, thats for sure. Everyone has doubts before the surgery. its how far you let those thoughts go thats the issue. Hang in there, you will do wonderfully well Im sure. 1 Shiki reacted to this

ready4changein2011 70 Posted March 12, 2012 Can't wait to got to mushies, the thought of these full liquids are starting to make me gag. No more broth or Jello, gonna try liquid drinks/juices only, dont want to start dryheaving. This is discouraging guess my stomach is starting to heal., will call physician tomorrow to see if he has suggestions. Any advice on full liquid choices? Ladybug28 73 Posted March 12, 2012 On the Body Fortress try adding a little bit of sf Jello powder/mix to change up the flavor a bit.

It really is unflavored. I mix it with my juice or a smoothie and have no problems. http://www.amazon.com/Syntrax-Nectar-Medical-Unflavored-1-Pound/dp/B001I1NSUY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1331536045&sr=8-1 It's WELL worth the cost! Shiki 6 Posted March 12, 2012 Judy - Ausssies Rock! Love the way you Dr. thinks. What's the post-surgery protocol? To Everyone -- I've been researching this for 10 years. My plan is to do what I like most, and what I've read about. Pre surgery diet will be whatever I can live with. So far I've lost 30lbs. since last July. Post-surgery diet: Clear liquids for a couple of days, full liquids for another couple of days and then mushies for a week or more. WLS works to the extent that you work it. If you're real serious, you can drop 200 lbs. in 1 year or less. Read about several that did that. I'll be happy to drop 100 the first year. Hope I do. Never quit. It's a looonng journey. You didn't get obese overnight, so don't expect to get slim the same way. It's slow and steady. There are/will be bumps in the road. You gotta be able to hang on. Best way to do that is with a support system both online and off. Go to support meetings in your town. My first appt. with my 4th Dr. is Apr 2. Hope this one's a winner. Good luck to all!
