how is your appetite? Maybe you are eating too much? Do you exercise? maybe you need to start?

just some thoughts.

It is normal for weight loss to be fast at the beginning of a program and slow down the longer you have been doing it. The more weight you have to lose the easier it comes off. You may also need to relook at your calorie intake because the less you weigh the less you need to eat to maintain your new weight. So if at the beginning you could eat 1500 cal per day and lose you may find that you now need to eat 1200 or 1000 or possibly even less.

First a plug for excercise. It really helps with weight loss, and I find I make better food choices when I am working out regularly. I agree, since you are smaller, you may need to cut your calories a bit. Also, are you doing low carb? I found that helped when I stalled. Also, be sure to get your protien and Water in. Good luck! You can do it!

As Elcee said, it's normal to lose weight more quickly at the beginning, when you're heaviest, than later on when you're smaller and therefore burning fewer calories. I thought my last 10 pounds were never going to leave me, but they finally did, a little at a time. Sometimes a weight loss plateau means it's time to change things up - different foods, different workouts. If you know what you're doing wrong and just can't seem to work yourself up to it, maybe you need a weight loss vacation. Not a long one! It's very hard to keep up the same level of enthusiasm for any new venture month after month after month. Hang in there! You can do it!

At my one year mark, my weight slowed way down. I was gaining and loosing the same 3 lbs for 3 months.

Close to my goal also.

Had a appointment Tuesday, for the record lost 5 lbs since last visit, 3 months prior.

After speaking with the Dr., everything was fine, did not need a fill.

We both agreed, he would add 1/2 cc, just to see what happens. Well that was Tuesday. Today is Friday and as of this morning I dropped 4 lbs.!

Evidently I was wavering on the edge, and all I needed was that kick to push me over the edge. I'm still falling, see where I land!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
