larpens 2 Posted February 8, 2012 I went to Vegas this past weekend and did really great on my eating and exercising because we walked around so much. However, on Sunday night, Superbowl, I went a bit crazy and drank the bar under the table..Needless to say, that I am back on my workouts and Water regimen but I feel much guilt because I do enjoy my alcoholic beverages and I just wonder how much is too much?? I don't drink daily but I do have a couple a drinks a week if not every other week..I had surgery in September and have lost 30 pounds and Im feeling great but I don't want to sabotage my weight loss due to alcohol consumption of any kind.... JennK2008 12 Posted February 8, 2012 Don't be disapointed if the scale goes up a little bit after a fun night of partying. When I go to Vegas I'm hooked on those daquari bars however I drink plenty of Water and watch what I eat. All the walking will offset it some but just be careful. Alcohol is just empty calories so I really try and be careful. I had 2 beers Sunday night and I'm up 2lbs today even though I was super good on what I ate Sunday and have been so far since. I'm hoping it's a little water weight and I will have gotten rid of it by Thursday when I go for a fill.

honk 780 Posted February 8, 2012 I would'nt be to hard on yourself about what you had on Sunday. I listened to a personal trainer for several NFL players on the radio and he said to treat the Super Bowl like a holiday (Christmas or Thanksgiving). Eat on that day but get rid of everything the day after. Think Holiday not Holiweek. As for general ongoing drinking personally I would cut it out. While I know plain alcohol does'nt have fat would you sit down and have 2 snickerbars a couple days a week after working out? Probably not. Alcohol has a lot of calories. shues138 35 Posted February 8, 2012 Don't be so hard on yourself, I was the same way on Monday, but I love the OP where it's just one day and then back to normal, that's how I treated it, and I'm back on my usual diet and excercise routine! Vegas for Superbowl???? LUCKY!
