remember that you won't be stripping down, so your clothing will also add weight. Also, depending on what time you made your appointment for, you may weigh more (I weigh 5-6lb more in PM). Good luck.

You can Water load before you get weighed, increase salt intake and then drink a lot of water .. like they have done on biggest loser :) i am not saying its a good thing to do but needs must sometimes, wear jeans heavy trainers eat a large Breakfast lots of drinks lol weights in your pockets ... tons of things could easily make you a higher weight and when it comes to measure your height to get your bmi dont stand tall ........ good luck...

You said snow in your area, so cold weather, wear layers! Put on a couple shirts, maybe long johns under a pair of heavy jeans. Heck, even find a couple small pocket sized weights to put in your pockets. As others have stated, make the appointment in the late afternoon when you're bound to weigh more anyway. I know this is all horribly dishonest stuff, but sometimes you have to do it.

Best of luck to you.

I used to eat an entire box of Velveeta shells & cheese the night before my weigh ins and then I would eat a 3 egg omelet with extra cheese & veggies for breakfast, and then generally nachos for lunch and have my appointments around 3:00pm. Dang, I can't believe I used to eat all that crap. No wonder I used to feel bad all the time. LOL! Good luck with your appointment.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
