I Slipped Up This Week...

Recommended Posts

hardly any exercise and ate not how I should of...but back at it tomorrow (I am going out of town today)! I just needed somewhere to write down my inexcusable actions, so I could hold myself accountable to getting back on track!

Thanks...I am just frustrated even though I did it myself. I have found if I write things down, I hold myself more accountable! =)

It is great that you feel comfortable enough to admit booboo's. we all do it, I think if we can be honest our chances of success are better.

I know I never used to talk about the food I ate. If I had a day of eating danish for Breakfast, it started an excuse for me to continue through the rest of the day. now I stop and continue on eating what I know will make my life better. for me it can't be a punishing new life style. perfection kills me, kills my dreams and stops my progress.

I love that we can vent all of these feelings on this forum!

You go girl, back on the healthy life track!

Everyone is gonna eat something they shouldn't at one point. As long as it doesn't happen all the time. The good thing though is I only can eat a little of something bad, like chips, instead of the bag I was used to! Today is a new day.

The difference between an excuse and an explanation: Things aren't inexcusable if they're explainable! I'm looking forward to having an explanation when I slip up!

Being successful (and by your ticker, you are!) means that by your habits you are making better choices MOST of the time. That is what it is all about! Life isn't worth living if we can't sit back and enjoy it once in a while.

I say well done! Just don't let old habits sneak back in ALL the time!

hey i totally understand how you feel. its just my first month out and im frustrated. and i slip up. i dont right it down but i hold myself responsible for my actions. none of us is perfect if we were then we wouldnt need the band. jus remember when you slip up do better the next day cause beating urself up about it wont change anything. just get over it and put ur best into it, and it will work itself out. you can do it hell we all can do it. good luck and great job so far. you got this

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
