Jeremiahsmommy07 1 Posted February 4, 2012 I was banded in June of 08, started at 315, and am down to 245. I am still about 100 pounds overweight. I feel I am eating okaywhat im supposed to, and I dont lose any weight, ive been maintaining for about 2 years now. I feel like giving up, like my success story will never make it up here. Any suggestions?
Holly Dolly 575 Posted February 4, 2012 Congrats on the 70 pounds! You feel or you know you are eating what you are supposed to? Maybe you should keep a food journal for a couple of weeks tracking your Protein and calories and see a nutritionist. have you been back to see your doctor? Jeremiahsmommy07 1 Posted February 4, 2012 I havnt seen him due to insurance purposes unfortunately, I read a post earlier about a 5 day pouch test I might try. I think i have just lost myself in this whole process, and got so off track that I feel overwhelmed. Maybe I should try my local lap band support though my doctor so I can talk to my nutritionist without making a formal appointment. I just wanna be healthy, and live longer for my kids. I mean, is this SUPPOSED to be THIS frustrating? I see people lost 100 pounds in a year with the band....and that definitely is not the case with me 1 Holly Dolly reacted to this
lellow 1,713 Posted February 4, 2012 I know that after a while it's easy to lose focus on doing what you need to do to keep losing. I know I have forgotten a lot of it. But it's not impossible to get that focus again. I am trying to as well. Just because recently I don't feel as healthy or fit as I used to be, because I'm working longer hours and not eating as well as I should. So refocus and start again. You lost 70lbs so you know you can lose. Get back in the zone. You can do it.
Holly Dolly 575 Posted February 4, 2012 My friend is doing the 5 day pouch test right now. She is on day 4 and down 5 pounds. Another friend did it and lost 9. Good luck!
YngGram 73 Posted February 4, 2012 I don't seem to be able to get the mind back in the right place either. My DH recently found out that the he is diabetic. I now spend so much time worring over what goes in his mouth, I never know what's going in mine. I haven't made it to my goal of 170 and am very upset by it. Now I find the scale sliding up just a little. I don't want the foods I had in the begining like chicken or tuna salad or a Protein Drink doesn't get made. I get the Water in but I know something really needs to change.
