hello every one

I just had a fill yesterday, because i have not lose any weight he said not to eat salads any more beacause it

will slide through the band, my question is does Peanut Butter and fruit spread sandwich good for the band

or as low fat food in general i like cause its light and no heavy on my stomach but I did not

want to eat and then gain instead of losing, I only would like to eat it for lunchs only at work

its easier to me.

I cant eat bread at all. I do better with peanutbutter and apples or celery. Use he Natural PB. Its better for you. Good luck.

The band is outside of the stomach, so it is impossible for anything that goes in your mouth to "stick" to the band.

You may be able to eat Peanut Butter at some point in your journey. The web site for one manufacturer lists any nut butters as "sticky", (duh!), and therefore could be a problem food.< /p>

Everyone needs to experiment and learn for themsevles.....You've mentioned 2 foods that are on my "Do Not Eat List"

Peanut Butter, and bread. That means no more sandwiches, for me. other people can.

For me Peanut Butter is a no no. I was eating it straight out of the the jar. A lot of it.

Personally I don't think salad is a slider. For lunch I bring 3 oz of chicken breast, one piece low fat laughing cow cheese, mini sweet peppers (so cool and no cutting!). If I am going to have baby carrots I include an individual serving container of hummus (super convenient). And fruit (grapes, cherries). I pack the night before so there is no morning rush.

Honk! I've recently discovered sweet mini peppers, too and love them! But, this may seem like a stupid question...but do you eat the seeds? Ive only cut them up and made sausage and peppers (chicken or turkey)...but I haven't tried them with hummus...that sounds yummy!

I can no longer eat any type of sandwich. I think in the beginning they sometimes tell you a list of foods that may cause problems. After you have been banded for awhile and reach the green zone you will figure out which foods you have to avoid. I have always kept fairly tight restriction and eat small salads often. They are in no way a slider and are so much better for you than a PBJ.

I do not eat the seeds. I eat them raw, down to the stem area and avoid the seeds. Some brands have fewer seeds then others. I buy them at costco large bag for 4.80.

Low sodium deli meat, laughing cow cheese and cucumbers are always a good on the go lunch. Use the cucumbers as you would a cracker. I also find that I eat a lot of greek yogurt and Cereal for lunch now. Very filling.

What kind of greek yogurt do you use LB4Me? Can you have the kind with fruit in it after awhile? I was told just plain in the beginning.

I cannot tolerate bread at all but I did try Orowheat whole wheat sandwich thins the other day and was able to eat it without getting stuck. They have 100 cal, and 5g protien. I toast them so now I eat a sandwich for lunch from time to time. Great too if you ever miss the occasional hamburger. I also like to put a hamburger or sandwich meat inside a lettuce leaf in place of the bread.

I like the greek yogurt because it has more protien and less sugar than regular yogurt. I eat the flavored kinds like honey, blueberry and clementine flavors.

Chobani lowfat with fruit on the bottom. I haven't had a problem with it.

      Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

        Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
