i am thinking of having lap band surgery soon how long will it be before i can take a long haul flight to the uk after surgery

I've seen people post that they were okay flying after a week. There was a recent post about the same thing in the past few days.

I had my surgery in the UK on Saturday morning, and I flew out of there yesterday. About a 3 hour flight or so. The doctor wanted me to stay for a few days in case anything was wrong.

The flight itself was absolutely fine, some gas pain but nothing too bad. But with all the walking through the airport, I really would not have wanted to do it any sooner than 3 days post op.

A lot of people in the US, have surgery in Mexico on Friday, and home after the weekend. So you should be good after a few days. Good luck, Karen
