TracieR 88 Posted January 30, 2012 So anyway...I'm down 120lbs since March. I have jiggly bits and pieces all over the place so I wear Spanx pretty much everyday for work and when I go out. The ones that are like underwear to your bra. My question is that when I wear them lately I've been getting my left shoulder pain. I normally only get that when I eat too much or too quickly. I think I am now getting it because the SPANX is pushing on my band that hits my phrenic nerve causing my shoulder pain. I know its sounds totally crazy but anyone else experience this? My grandma always used to say, "You have to suffer to be beautiful." I wonder if this is what she meant! LOL! Thanks!
Karlzmom 1 Posted February 18, 2012 Interesting idea...I've had to go to Spanx daily as well and hadn't even considered that as a possible source of my shoulder pain. I do know that if I am not careful with the waistband on some I can end up really sore over my port, so I've been making sure it hits as high as possible....I'll have to try and put the timing together. No advise, just a "you may not be alone"..
Cocoabean 430 Posted February 18, 2012 Wow, interesting theory. Have you gone without? Quel horror! To see if it makes a difference? I know many waist bands bother my port on the surface and underneat.
1shauna1 129 Posted February 18, 2012 Do they have adjustable straps? Maybe try loosening the strap on that side?
Banterwonder 63 Posted February 18, 2012 Irritation of the phrenic nerve usually causes pain in the right shoulder. Maybe it's something else?
