skinny01 0 Posted January 27, 2012 When can I go swimming after surgery? I want to use the pool at fitness center.
smatyas 0 Posted January 27, 2012 Everyone heals differently, but I would suggest to wait until you at least have the sutures removed. May be a good subject to bring up at your next follow-up appointment.
Grider 92 Posted January 28, 2012 I went for my 6 week check up all looks good n DR say go for it!
journey4me 23 Posted January 28, 2012 I would say as soon as they say you can take a bath, which was 6 weeks on my paperwork.

katwomantexas 2 Posted January 28, 2012 I was banded in May 2011. My doctor gave the OK to swim in 2 weeks after surgery. I did and had no issues. Kat
honk 780 Posted January 29, 2012 Speak to your doctor; but mine said 2 weeks. I highly recommend a Water proof MP3 player. Check them out on Amazon.< /p>
highland 168 Posted January 29, 2012 Mine let me back in the pool at 2 weeks, but my incisions sites had healed completely at that point. Always ask your dr on issues such as this! Have fun in the pool!
bellaloco 13 Posted January 30, 2012 as someone who used to work in a public pool at a rec center, I would say to wait until you're incisions have healed...scabs and all. Public pools are an infection waiting to happen...trust me on this one! After that, have at it. Swimming is the only thing I absolutely LOVE, and it is a great full-body cardio and strength training workout
enjoylifediana 8 Posted January 31, 2012 If your incisions are healed up you should be fine. Even if it is healed up I would clean it really well after getting done in the pool, hot tub, steamroom, or sauna. Better to be safe.
josephrettig2012 0 Posted February 4, 2012 I think its depends what kind of surgery you have done.Specially 2 weeks after small surgery and 6 weeks for mejor surgery. Thanks Joseph Rettig
