Pain in my breast.

HunnyBun

Recommended Posts

I have been having sharp pains in my left breast.

They aren't tender pains like I get before a period, but sharp pains that feel liek are deep inside the breast. They feel like a poking, sometimes a harsh squeeze, even so bad sometimes it feels like someone is stabbing it.

Does anyone know what causes such pains that last for more than a week now?

I'm gonna get checked out by the doctor if it doesn't stop, but am looking for a little peace of mind in the mean time.

I sometimes get those similar feelings in my Right breast. I have fibrous breast that become aggravated by too much caffeine. Not sure if that is what is going on with you but getting checked out is a good thing. Keep us posted.

I've never had my breast checked out, probably because I'm pretty young still and never thought it was necessary. Never had problems before this.

Thanks ladies for the advice. I will take a couple advil when it gets bad and will make an appointment on Monday.

Maggie - Do you have an OBGYN that you see regularly? If so, Id call his nurse and see what she has to say.

How young is "pretty young"? I am 32 now and when I was 29 they found 3 masses in my breasts that they biopsied. They found them because I finally told them about the pain and tenderness.

I have that too, but for me it's Costocondritis. It was so bad once (and I was not diagnosed) that I took myself to the ER and was in for 3 days getting my heart checked out.

I have this too. It is called an annoying DH that likes to poke and grab at inopportune times. LOL

All kidding aside, there is no "too young". You should have a good OBGYN and you need to go have that checked out. Be sure. Good luck!!

Mags,

Do you drink much coffee or tea or any caffeine? Many times that is the culprit, but definately, please go see your gynee, just to rule out anything else, also, if you have any family history of breast cancer at all ask your obgyn for a baseline mammogram. I had my daughter have one when she was 20 because of my history.

It's likely nothing too scary though so don't worry too much...just go to your gynee!

I get the same thing sometimes. I have annual exams (I'm also 23) so I haven't been too concerned. Right about the time I start to get really worried about it goes away. I'll have to see if caffiene has anything to do with it..

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
