jayeedee 7 Posted February 11, 2012 I chose my target weight with this in mind. My doctor is latino, so he was cool with where my ultimate goal is. We are going for a BMI of
Chocolatefier 1 Posted March 3, 2012 Jayeedee...have you set any goals, are you exercising, counting calories and eating right? Just wondering because i'm walking everyday and it seems that my weight loss is slow.
jayeedee 7 Posted March 3, 2012 I'm not counting calories. I refuse. I just eat when I am hungry. I am also not doing a set cardio program yet. I find that when I start a heavy cardio program, I get hungrier than I need to be, so I've been doing lots of resistance, walking more and taking the stairs more in my every day life, and doing very short spurts of HIIT (tabatas) here and there when I feel up to it. My weight loss was stalled for a bit, but once I started adjusting my carbohydrates (adding more) my body was happy. I lost weight better if I am taking in simple carbs. I knew this from pre-surgery, but everyone is so low-carb gung ho that I thought I'd see how it went... the answer is not good White rice works for me. You've lost a lot for how long it's been since the surgery Slow and steady is better for your body/mind anyway, so keep at it. We're getting there.
Chocolatefier 1 Posted March 3, 2012 I know it's not an easy walk in the park; however, i hate exercising. I'm working harder than i thought i would be. I'm now losing a pound or two every two-three weeks and i see some people losing 3 per week. Not that easy for me. I don't count calories and haven't had a fill but i'll keep pressing my way for better results. Thanks for sharing!!
jayeedee 7 Posted March 11, 2012 Are you doing any resistance training? Or just cardio? And if just cardio, what are you doing, what intensity, and for how long?
