GLove 44 Posted January 25, 2012 Just completed my last required tests and Doctor can now forward for insurance approval. Then, hopefully, a surgery date. I started this journey last February! 11 months ago. Im thinking late Feb or early March.... 2 whitetiger011680 and Caribear reacted to this
Jerseygirl82 18 Posted January 25, 2012 Awesome, good luck. I just had my second and last nutritionist appt, now just need a psych eval. I'm hoping for a March/April surgery. This is such an exciting time for us. I can't wait to finally live my life not just be a passive participant! Good luck!

Nikki08 3 Posted January 25, 2012 I just turned in the last if my documents from my PCP today and the surgeon's office said they will submit for insurance approval today. They said it may take up to 2 weeks for approval from BCN but I hope that's not true. I'm on pins and needles and can barely concentrate at work I'm so excited. Hopefully I can get a surgery date sometime early March so I can lose some weight before the summer. I'd like to wear a smaller size by then so that I can fit into some old summer clothes that I can't squeeze a leg in now. I'm excited for everyone awaiting approval and hopefully we'll hear something soon. Keep us posted.
GLove 44 Posted January 26, 2012 Nikki08: Im I the exact same spot as you are. Im doing this for health reasons but on the fun side I cant wait to NOT WEAR BLACK, and fit into my 2 closets full of cute clothes. Im going to Vegas in July and truly want to dazzle!!!! But, again, the main reason is for my health.....
nelle1230 53 Posted January 27, 2012 I am in the exact same spot you are. I just had my last nutritionist visit on Wednesday and I am just waiting for approval. I have to redo my sleep study (such a pain in the @$$ BTW) but I'm hoping for surgery in Late February- Early March. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed. Good Luck and I hope you get your approval soon!
Sunshyne068 97 Posted January 27, 2012 I am waiting on my doc's office to submit to BCBS. I have EVERYTHING required but they dont wanna use my nutritionist reports. They want me to see "their" nutritionist so we'll see how that works out. My doc said insurance approval could take 2 hours to 2 weeks, but he also said they almost never (knock on wood) deny the surgery if the BMI is over 35. Mine is 38 so let's see what happens. GOOD LUCK TO US ALL! Im trying to make some progress by summer as well~
