amberj88 0 Posted January 18, 2012 I've decided after living only a life of diets that do nothing but plateau that I need help to get where I need to be. I haven't made any appointments yet but I have made up my mind on getting banded. My insurance provider is Blue Cross Blue Shield ***, has anyone else gotten a band with this provider? if so what were their requirements? I am just curious to see what I have to look forward to! I have a seminar meeting coming up and I want to be a little more prepared. I am also calling my PCP for an overall physical and referral just to be ready. Thanks! pink dahlia 2,513 Posted January 18, 2012 amberj- i have bcbs in wash state. i went to my 1st seminar sept 7th, and started the paperwork. they approved me 100% in nov, and i just got banded dec 13th. they required a psych visit. a nutritionish visit, a note from my dr stating why she thought i would be a good canidate. she knew of my struggles with my weight and my family history. i also had to have weight watchers fax my year long history with them. bcbs approved me within 3 weeks- god bless them ! im down 14 lbs and it has all been VERY easy. good luck to you !!
