Getting my first fill today. Does it hurt?

The needle is my friend...the needle is my friend...the needle is my friend...

sometimes it does... depends on how your dr. does it. My main dr. does not hurt, but the new dr. did...

Depends on the doctor. My main doctor places a round pillow behind my back and i never had any problems. Now the other doctor in the office makes you do a crunch.... and he does hurt.

Getting stuck with the needle hurts like when they stick you for a flu shot...but a flu shot hurts bad when they put in the stuff and with your fill you dont feel it at all. Some docs numb you up first with a shot of lidocaine but it hurts the same as the fill shot so my doc doesnt bother.

Most of my fills have felt like a quick mosquito bite stick. Once I asked my surgeon, "So, how much fill are you going to put in?" and he laughed and said, "I'm finished! I just put in 1 cc."

I've had lidocaine shots before fills, and the lidocaine shot usually hurts more than the fill shot.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
