So, I got some Biotin from my doc. It's in a capsule. Is a capsule ok to take?

I have heard from two people here that they got a pill stuck and damaged their band to the point of having an erosion...why risk it! I chew all pills or take liquids...

I've been taking Biotin in capsule form fine but I also have never had a fill yet. I imagine I will not be able to continue once that happens.

I take Biotin in a capsule, but post-op I would open the capsule and sprinkle over a spoonful of pudding or applesauce. It's not XR or extended release, so it doesn't matter if you open it up.

They do make sub-lingual Biotin. It just melts under your tongue. You can get it at health food stores.

What is Biotin for?

hair, nail and skin support. After about 3 months after surgery you might see some changes in your hair.

Like Honk the Biotin I get are tiny! My Vit D capsules are a little bigger than the biotin and with 2 fills and decent restriction I have never had a problem with them. Mucinex pills and most other hard/big pills I wont try, but I have been told my many if it is smaller than an m&m it is generally good to go.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
